From Design File to Street: The Wrap Timeline Explained

Fleet branding is one of the fastest ways to boost visibility, reinforce your brand, and turn every mile your vehicles drive into a marketing opportunity. But one of the biggest questions we hear is: “How long is it going to take?”

The answer depends on a few factors, like how many vehicles you’re wrapping, where installation takes place, whether new creative is needed, and how quickly approvals can happen.

When most organizations think about wrapping their fleet, they picture long delays, slow approvals, and vehicles sitting idle for weeks. But it doesn’t have to be that way. With a streamlined workflow, clear communication, and in-house production, we’re able to move from first conversation to finished wrap faster, without cutting corners or compromising quality.

Below is the wrap timeline we use for most projects, broken down step-by-step so you know what to expect.

The 5-Step Wrap Process (≈12–13 Business Days Total)

1. Discovery & Estimate (2 Business Days)

Every project begins with a conversation.

We review:

  • Fleet size and vehicle types
  • Brand guidelines and marketing goals
  • Deadlines, operational needs, or delivery schedules

From there, we provide a clear estimate, typically within 2 business days, for fleets under 10 units. This ensures alignment, transparency, and an agreed-upon scope before anything moves forward.

What we need from you:

  • Signed estimate or PO
  • Brand assets (logos, colors, creative brief)
  • Vehicle list (VINs, makes/models, locations)

2. Design & Approval (4 Business Days)

Whether you bring final artwork or need creative development, this stage sets the visual direction.

  • If artwork is final, we verify specs and prep it for production quickly.
  • If youneed new creative, our design team develops concepts within 2 business days of receiving your brief, then collaborates through refinements to get everything just right.

Before anything prints, you receive a digital or physical proof to confirm:

  • True brand colors
  • Scaled vehicle layout
  • Material finish

We deliver your proof within 2 business days, then collaborate through any final refinements. Client approval times may affect the total timeline, but our team keeps things moving quickly.

3. Production & Scheduling (5 Business Days)

Once artwork is approved, your project moves into full-scale production.

We:

  • Print on high-performance fleet-grade vinyl
  • Laminate and precision-cut graphics
  • Perform rigorous quality checks

Because all production is handled in-house, timelines stay consistentwith no outsourcing delays. This phase takes about 5 business days. We also begin coordinating installation, whether at one of our service centers, on-site at your location, or through our national network of certified installers.

4. Installation & Delivery (3-4 Business Days)

After production, wraps are shipped and installed within 3–4 business days, depending on location and vehicle type.

We schedule installations to:

  • Minimize downtime
  • Maintain brand consistency
  • Keep your fleet operational

Large fleets can be completed in phases, so vehicles remain on the road throughout the project.

Once installation is complete, our team submits all post-install documentation, including:

  • Completion photos
  • Quality checks
  • Final confirmation from your Project Manager

Your vehicles leave branded, visible, and ready to represent your business on the road.

5. Follow Up & Ongoing Support

Your project doesn’t end at installation.

Your Account Manager remains your long-term partner for:

  • Future additions
  • Repairs
  • Vehicle replacements
  • Rebrands
  • Seasonal or rapid-turn fleet updates
  • We stay aligned with your operational rhythms, helping you keep a consistent brand presence across every vehicle, whether you manage a single unit or a nationwide fleet.

So, How Long Does it Really Take?

We estimate 12–13 business days for most projects, though timelines may vary based on project complexity, fleet size, and client responsiveness. A customized project plan will always be provided.
