Nationwide Fleet Graphics FAQs

COMMON NATIONAL FLEET QUESTIONS

I’m required to use Fleet Graphics by my Marketing department, can you help?

We sure can. We pride ourselves on being a partner, not a vendor. This is not a commodity business to us and being a true partner is the key. You are not only investing in the product but our expertise and service too. Our goal is to shoulder the details of the project and handle everything for you. We become an extension of your company and allow you to focus on your business.

Where does the installation take place?

This is determined on a case by case basis. If you are working with an FMC and using an upfitter for other fleet needs, it usually makes the most sense to have them handle the graphics as well. If your vehicles are being purchased Out of Stock, then field installations will likely be required. In that scenario, installs can be completed at an installer’s facility, at your facility (if you can provide an indoor, climate controlled area), or even potentially at the delivering dealership.

What is a fleet graphic consultant?

All of Advertising Vehicles’ sales representatives are fleet graphic consultants. We offer all of the products and services, and consult with you to decide what you need. The correct option or combination is the one that makes the most sense for you.

Are you able to work with my Fleet Management Company (FMC)?

Yes. We have been in the fleet graphics business for over 19 years, and love to integrate our process with them to make the fleet graphics process as smooth as possible.

Can you do field installations at all of my DCs?

Yes. Whether with our in-house installation teams or our network of installers, we are able to accommodate installations across the United States.

We are in the process of a merger and will need our fleet rebranded, is this something you can help with?

Not only can we help, but this is something we specialize in. With our experience in rebranding fleet vehicles, we have encountered an array of situations and are in a position where we can be a great partner in your project. Once you have discussed the details of your project with one of our consultants, a team from Advertising Vehicles will be assigned to your account. This team brings a broad range of backgrounds and experiences to the table, aiding with strategizing, design, timelines, and recommendations for your project. If you need help with a rebrand, please contact us to setup the initial consultation with one of our fleet graphics consultants.

How much does it cost?

There are a lot of variables involved in determining pricing. If you already have a fleet graphics package developed, make sure to share that with us, along with other details needed for quoting like who will be installing the graphics, what the volume is, etc. However, if you are looking for a new graphics package for your fleet vehicles, some of the important factors that we will discuss with you will include: vehicle type, quantity, timing, graphic coverage, design needs, install location, etc. We will work with you to get all the project details and then we can accurately calculate your investment.

Who does the design?

Our design teams are as involved as you want them to be. Whether you have pre-press artwork that you have developed or have used before, or you need help crafting a design for your fleet, our designers are here to help.

How long do the graphics last?

It really depends on the material used. Some materials will last longer than others. We will find out your specific needs and then use a material that performs best for you.

Can I wrap leased vehicles?

Absolutely. A large portion of our clients work with FMCs and love that their wraps actually protect the vehicle from sun damage and minor scratches from rocks. The material is actually manufactured to adhere to painted vehicle surfaces and should not damage the paint upon removal. The only time the material potentially may remove paint is if it is a non-factory paint job.

What happens if one of my vehicles gets in an accident and damages their graphics?

Accidents or damages are handled on a case by case basis. Sometimes, just a panel or small “snipe” or portion of a panel is needed and other times full sides need to be replaced. Either way, we are happy to help and have a process for handling repairs in and timely and cost effective manner.

Are there a minimum number of vehicles I need in my fleet to work with you?

Definitely not. Our company has two divisions for this exact reason. Regardless of the size of your fleet, we would love to talk with you about your fleet graphics needs.

How long are my vehicles out of service for field installations?

This may vary but typically, you drop off the vehicle by 5 p.m. the day before the install and the vehicle is then ready for pickup by the end of the install day or noon the following day.

What materials do you use?

We believe you should do things right, the first time, every time. In our experience, 3M offers the best materials for fleet graphics, from vinyl to laminations. However, if you would like us to consider an equivalent or different product for your fleet graphics, please do make sure to inform your fleet graphics consultant so that they can identify the right product or combination of products right for your project.
